Position Overview:

As the Assistant Manager for Mountain Galleries, located in the Fairmont Banff Springs Hotel, you will play a pivotal role in supporting the business in the day-to-day sales and marketing functions of the art gallery. Your responsibilities will encompass a blend of operational efficiency, team leadership, and client relationship management. Under the guidance of the Regional Manager and leadership team, you will contribute to the artistic vision while ensuring the gallery's business objectives are met.

Key Responsibilities:

Operational Excellence:

Collaborate with the Regional Manager to analyze sales data and market trends, providing insights to enhance core gallery business strategies.
Efficiently manage day-to-day priorities, ensuring the smooth running of gallery operations, including logistics scheduling and inventory control.
Implement and adhere to established guidelines for daily, weekly, monthly, and yearly targets, facilitating the measurement of individual and group performance.
Sales Leadership:

Act as a sales leader and top-performer, contributing to achieving sales targets aligned with the gallery's overarching goals.
Assist in giving detailed presentations on proposals, analyzing their potential effects, and providing valuable input for implementation.
Team Management:

Work alongside the Regional Manager in hiring, training, and orienting new team members to foster a high-performance culture.
Motivate and inspire employees to excel in meeting sales targets through effective leadership and ongoing support.
Client Development:

Collaborate with the Regional Manager to extend and diversify the client base through strategic initiatives and relationship-building efforts.
Foster relationships with individual artists, actively participating in the development of new artist connections, and nurturing existing relationships within the gallery roster.
Industry Awareness:

Keep abreast of industry developments and market trends, providing valuable insights to contribute to the gallery's positioning and success.
Support the Regional Manager in adapting strategies to align with the dynamic nature of the art market.

Job Type: Full-time

Salary: $28.00-$32.00 per hour

Expected hours: 35 – 40 per week
