Full job description
What will be your daily pursuit?:
Provide animated, interactive and personalized interpretation of the local history, wildlife, vegetation and geology related to Lake Minnewanka and Banff National Park.

This fun, summer job will start April 29th and run until October.
Compensation:
The starting salary for this role is $18.00 per hour, rising to $19.50 once certified.

What will you do in this job?:
Receive Paid training to qualify as a Tour Guide and Licensed Boat Captain!

Be prepared for a fast-paced work environment with changing conditions
Demonstrate a positive attitude and good communication skills
Ensure that a high level of customer service is given to each guest
Deliver high-standard interpretive commentary on board each tour
Safely operate tour boats, in accordance with Transport Canada regulations Master Limited 60 Ton (all training provided and paid for)
Maintain trip and mechanical logs, report boat performance issues
Participate in the global effort to keep all areas of Minnewanka clean and wildlife safe
NOTE: Transport Canada regulations state that In Canada only Canadian or Permanent resident of Canada can work on Canadian vessels. TC form #82-0701
What skills and experience do you need for this job?:
High attention to detail and good communication skills
Ability to multitask in fast paced environments
Ability to think calmly and clearly in any situation
Strong customer service skills
Public speaking skills
Mechanically inclined
Second language an asset
Pleasure Craft Operator Card (PCOC), support and course reimbursement provided
