Spa Reservation Agent

Fairmont Spa Banff Springs is at the forefront of the spa industry, offering first-class pampering, surrounded by majestic mountain beauty. What you will be doing:

Reporting to the Spa Reservations Manager, responsibilities and essential job functions include but are not limited to the following:

Consistently offers professional, engaging and friendly service
Answers telephone inquiries promptly and professionally and provide immediate and courteous telephone response when booking and scheduling Spa treatments
Responds to common email and personal email – especially when in relation to guest requests - in a timely manner
Be knowledgeable about all aspects of Fairmont Spa Stream treatments and the facility to ensure guests are provided with accurate information and inquiries are responded to in complete detail
Ensure that attention to detail is accurately maintained with each guest reservation and all guest requirements or issues are clearly stated to ensure effective pass on
Meet and/or exceed booking quotas and promotions in the Spa
Work in a non-supervised environment and take ownership for independent decisions made in the best interest of the guest
Cross train with Spa Experience Coordinators and Boutique Coordinator and assist at Spa Reception and the Spa Boutique as required
Handle special assignments
Become proficient in Book 4 Time, and various other computer programs related to Spa Reservations office
Adherence to Spa Emergency Procedures/Safety Manual
Maintain office files and records
To carry out any other reasonable duties and responsibilities as assigned.

Qualifications

Your experience and skills include:

Previous reservation / reception experience is required
Minimum of 1 year hotel experience required
Computer literacy Book 4 Time, Word, Excel, Keyboard/Data entry
Effective communication skills (verbal & written) and ability to demonstrate excellent phone etiquette
Post Secondary education in Hotel/Hospitality industry or equivalent work experience in a Spa or Hotel setting is an asset
Effective organization skills
High team orientation and desire for interaction with a diverse group of employees and guests
Empathetic tendencies and compulsion to exceed guest and colleague expectations
Second language an asset
Willing to work shift work and varied days off on occasion
Constant sitting and computer work throughout shift in Spa Reservations
Constant standing and walking throughout shift when assisting at Spa Reception
