Full job description
Location: Buffalo Mountain Lodge - Banff, AB

Primary Function: To supervise others in maintaining a high standard of cleanliness, orderliness, and appearance in all areas of the lodge with a focus on the guest rooms. To ensure that all guest requests are handled promptly and courteously.

DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES

To physically inspect all rooms and ensuring that they are cleaned to CRMR standards and communicate the room status to the front desk
Responsible for the ongoing training of staff within the housekeeping department
Ensure soiled shower curtains, duvets, and pillowcases, are removed, and replaced as per CRMR standards
Report/document Maintenance requests
Update room statuses in Opera and record lost and found items in the database
To ensure all linen received to Housekeeping is put away in a neat and organized fashion
To ensure all public areas are tidy and organized
Assist Executive Housekeeping Manager/Assistant Housekeeping Manager with daily projects, as required
Arrive on time and groomed appropriately, as per CRMR Employee Handbook
Other duties, as required
EXPERIENCE

Previous housekeeping experience is preferred
Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
A passion for customer service and mentoring
Highly organized and detail oriented, with the ability to multitask
Able to cope in high pressure situations
Experience with Opera PMS, Microsoft Office and Outlook is an asset
Must be able to work independently and remain calm in the event of an emergency
Ability to endure long periods of standing, sitting, bending, and lifting (up to 30 pounds may be required)
