What can you expect?
The purpose of this role is to ensure that the rental fleet is appropriately repaired and safe for re-issue to guests, providing guests with a level of service that exceeds expectations in the areas of efficiency, accuracy, safety and security, as well as always meeting guest’s time expectations. You will be required to respond to customer inquiries regarding rental equipment and repairs, and deal with complaints promptly, receive returned equipment and ensure that returned equipment is appropriately displayed. As a part of the role you will perform cashier duties that will require you to accurately handle cash and process card payments.

Determine and assist guests with their equipment needs in a knowledgeable, efficient and friendly manners.
Regular service and maintenance of tuning equipment
Requires thorough understanding of ski and snowboard equipment.
Accept payment transactions with cash and card.
Contributing to department goals and objectives.
Keeping work area clean and tidy.
Promoting sustainability and the efficient use of resources.
Creating and checking Sports Rental profile accounts are accurate and complete.
Equipment Issue
Boot fitting, Clothing; safety equipment, Ski/snowboard, accessories. All issued accuracy and efficiency.
Monitoring and reporting of stock levels.
Hi-Pro ski and snowboard issue.
Return of equipment – efficiency and accuracy, Safety equipment issue.
Using Sports Rental to scan barcodes when issuing equipment.
Upselling products (lessons, helmets, Hi-Pro, clothing).
Equipment Tuning and Repairs, Repairs to bindings, Repairs to ski boots, Basic Sports Pro ski/snowboard repairs.
Identification and reporting of hazards, Proactive in enforcing health & safety standards.
Conducting accident investigations, Identification and reporting of hazards, Proactive in enforcing health & safety standards, responding to weather / snow conditions.
Equipment tuning and repairs
Repairs to bases, Repairs to bindings, Repairs to poles, Repairs to ski boots, Sidewalls repairs, Tuning of Hi-Pro/guest skis/boards, Tuning of Sports-Pro skis/boards.
Other duties as assigned.
And you have:
Passion for providing outstanding guest service
Teamwork, able to communicate effectively within and across teams
Experience with POS systems is an advantage
Experience with Wintersteiger tuning equipment is an advantage
Strong communication, time management.
At least 1 season’s experience and knowledge of ski and snowboard repairs
Ability to work efficiently within a fast pace/busy atmosphere
Able to do physically demanding work for long periods of time
Able to use initiative to find jobs during quite times
